Privacy

Melbourne Clay Guide is a directory of pottery studios and firing services. This website does not offer accounts or collect form submissions.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare. Requests pass through its network, which processes connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare also loads a performance beacon to measure page loading and reliability. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Browser features

Search runs in your browser and may appear in the page URL. Comparison selections stay in memory until you reload the page. Search and comparison use no cookies. We store your analytics choice in this browser’s local storage.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics is enabled by default for visitors worldwide unless you have opted out in this browser. Existing opt-outs are honoured. It uses cookies and processes page visits, device/browser information and directory interactions such as provider link clicks, filter use and comparisons. We exclude search text and full URL query strings from the events we send. For selected promotion links, we send only fixed campaign labels identifying the campaign and channel, such as provider outreach or a community share, when analytics is enabled. These labels do not identify an individual recipient. Google may process data outside Australia. Google Analytics advertising features and optional account data sharing are disabled. These analytics choices are separate from the advertising controls below. You can turn analytics off or back on at any time using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Turning analytics off stops future collection and clears this site’s Analytics cookies; it does not delete data already processed. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

External websites

Studio links open independently operated websites with their own privacy practices. Listing images are served from this website rather than loaded from the studio’s servers.

Google AdSense advertising

We load Google AdSense on public pages to support this directory with automatically placed advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses and browsing information to deliver, personalise and measure ads. The advertising script can load independently of your Analytics choice. Google may process information outside Australia. For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent message provides Consent, Do not consent and Manage options controls; where that message applies, use the privacy and cookie settings link supplied by Google to revisit your choices. You can also manage personalised Google advertising in My Ad Center. See Google’s advertising privacy information. Advertising does not affect directory inclusion or ordering.
